Question:
There is this popular notion that one must work towards opening the third eye, or awakening Kundalini, or towards enlightenment. Is Transformation different from these pursuits?
Dadashreeji:
Yes, some people also use the word 'enlightenment' to mean liberation or 'Moksha'. To begin with, let us agree that all the paths you mentioned, like raising one's Kundalini energy, are useful and have been pursued by many seekers. However, we cannot also deny that despite the existence of such processes, there is still a lot of suffering in society. Therefore, to assume that these paths are a panacea to all our problems would be incorrect. Only when there is Inner Transformation in an individual, they are able to see life and circumstances changing, they are able to manifest their desires.
Therefore, practices like Kundalini awakening etc. are like stations on a long train journey. But Transformation is a continuous spiritual journey of evolving yourself.
It continues on and on. As long as you choose to sit in the train, you have the opportunity to experience different states of existence. Enlightenment, Chakras and Kundalini awakening, other spiritual practices and techniques are the stations on this journey. However, if you choose to simply alight at some station, your experiences become limited to what that station can offer. So, if you claim you have reached enlightenment, it actually means you are stuck in some state that you think is enlightenment. Or if you desire a particular Siddhi (a supernatural power), please remember that it is also only a station. All these are a part of the journey. The journey is more important than the stations. Without enlightenment also, you can experience transformation. If you are committed to the journey of Transformation, you can reach your final destination.
