Maitreya Dadashreeji:

You need to become an embodiment of Love if you want to Unite the world!

You can Unite the entire world; what can be better than that? Unfortunately, you have no faith in Love. The basic problem is that you feel life’s challenges and problems cannot be resolved with Love.

I don’t have any supernatural powers. There is Unconditional Love and Purity in Spirit alone. People take a simplistic approach saying there should be Love and Forgiveness along with purity of mind and spirit. They seem to feel it’s something easy to accomplish. They even think of building one’s own ashram. I say, sure go ahead! Why not?

But really, to love selflessly and unconditionally, forgive everyone and offer peace instead of hatred is not easy. Do you think it’s easy to do? It appears to be easy but in actuality when you try to live by these values; you find yourself up against the wall! You soon realize how difficult it is: that you really can’t do it. You’ve been given this secret of life, but to actually walk on that path is extremely difficult. To be able to show forgiveness towards the one who has hurt you the most is next to impossible. You just can’t do it.  No one today is able to show love and compassion when faced with hatred.

Why do we say Lord Rama (an incarnation of the God Vishnu) is an embodiment of these ideals? ( In the Indian Epic the Mahabharata, Lord Rama’s wife is abducted by the King Ravana). Ravana, Rama’s enemy, captured his wife Sita and when Ram came face to face with Ravana, without an iota of anger or hatred he humbly requested Ravana to release Sita. He said,  “just return my wife and I will peacefully return home.”  He did not utter any words like “Oh! You’ve transgressed and now you ought to be punished. I’ll make sure you face the consequences of your wrongdoing.” Rama said nothing like that. After all Rama had a huge army at his command. He just humbly requested Ravana to return his wife so that he could take her and go back home. How do you thank a man today would react if his wife is captured and kidnapped by another man?

Even in the face of such a heinous act all Rama did was to humbly request his wife be released from captivity. He was willing to leave in peace. Ravana was given ample opportunity to correct his actions, to make amends, and to seek forgiveness.  He did no such thing! Rama then warned Ravana “If you don’t listen matters will escalate and it will result in war. If you cooperate, we will leave peacefully”. Rama gave Ravana an opportunity to correct himself out of compassion and forgiveness.  This is because Lord Rama was an embodiment of those value.  He showed Love instead of hatred even when he was wronged. Rama never claimed to be God. All his interactions were as an individual and as a human being.

His message to us is “If I, as a human being, could do this, you can uphold these values too.”Unfortunately, when the Divine prompts us to do what’s right, we distance ourselves from Him. We look at Lord Rama as an ideal role model for us to follow (because he met hurt with compassion and forgiveness and force with gentleness. ) We can certainly try to embody these qualities! Try to forgive someone who has wronged you instead of harboring feelings of revenge and retaliation. For these negative feelings leave us exhausted. How many battles will we fight? One battle followed by yet another and the fight seems endless! For how long can this go on?

But if you follow the path of forgiveness, you will set yourself free forever.  This doesn’t mean there are no consequences for your actions. Rama did punish Ravana for his wrong actions but not out of his reaction to the situation. He didn’t act or punish Ravana out of anger. We should look at Rama as an example for us to embody compassion and forgiveness in our own lives.

Ravana had an opportunity to correct his transgressions, but he didn’t take heed. You too will be given an opportunity to live by these ideal values. The entire human race will be given an opportunity to correct their wayward ways and move towards transformation. Everyone, each and every person will be given an opportunity to transform while we are on this earth. After this chance, there will be no going back.

Move transformation and grow towards this purest state of being! A selfless attitude of unconditional Love! The state called in Sanskrit, ’Amrit Avastha.” This is a universal message for one and all! You really can’t delay this decision any longer. If you have challenges in your life, these challenges will have to be resolved through transformation alone! Do not expect any miracles. You’ll only be wasting your time. Maybe you are going from one

If you truly want positivity and solve your problems: you need to change. This change will manifest in you as the purest state of being! A selfless attitude grounded in Love!  That Ultimate pure state! That same purity, will permeate throughout your life and in your home. Eventually all your family members will transform too! That same quality of Love, compassion, and forgiveness will then spread into our society,  throughout country and transform this entire world!

We will then be able to truly be and say we are ‘Vasudeva Kutumbakam’ in Sanskrit or we are One World and One Family!
