What Do I Do if I Keep Taking Three Steps Forward and then Fall Two Steps Back?

How do I cope with this pattern I have of taking three steps forward and then I make a mistake and fall two steps back?

When you move one step forward spiritually or materialistically you have a new experience. In the new space you are in, you get scared and you take some time to understand this new path. Being on a new path or in new space you get confused as to whether this new path is “right for me.” You wonder whether should you should leave this path or continue forward. This confusion will be there for some time, and you will have difficulty. When you understand this newer path, you overcome the difficulty and take one new step and move forward. When you take this new step, you again experience something new.
Similarly, when you go to a new place you take some time to understand the new place. You do not find any difficulty in your own house, because you are not confused about where to sit. You don’t think, “should I sit or should I go to the bedroom? You don’t think, “should I go to hall or kitchen? ” When you know your own house well so there is no fear or difficulty in navigating it. It is very clear in your mind how walk in your own house. However, when you visit to a new place you need some time to understand and explore it. Similarly, with anything new happening in your life you will need time to understand it.
Difficulty will come but you have to overcome it and move forward. If you do this you will progress in life. This is how one should move forward. If you feel you are not moving ahead or you cannot go beyond the difficulty and go backward two steps, then you have to restart your journey. You have no other option. If feel stuck in your journey because you are taking three steps forward and then going 2 steps back, then at least be happy with the fact that you are taking three steps forward!
Trust that if you move three steps forward that it is okay if you fall two steps backwards. Move three steps forward and come back two steps even if it happens again and again. It is okay; there is nothing wrong in it. Accept this pattern as it is going to be like this, and just experience it. When you completely experience it, you will move to the fourth step from third step. It will happen on its own. So, accept within you that it is okay if you take three steps forward and then fall back two steps. But restart again and those take three steps without stopping or being sad. Then there will be no disappointment within you and you will keep moving forward.
